I once tried it many years ago while dissatisfied with my career as a pharmacist, but any blog I started was too nasty, even by my standards!
So, here I find myself with a new life and lots of time.
Just 2 months ago my husband and I relocated to the West coast, to the California desert to be more specific. We quit our jobs, sold most of our stuff, rented a Caravan and hauled our 5 parrots across the country. I could probably write many posts just on those last few sentences.
Shock and awe...that was the response by many...How could we just up and leave everything we know for such uncertainty? How could I give up such a lucrative career? How could I leave my family? And the big one....Why?
Most of those questions would also require an entire post to answer....except the last one. It all comes down to weather...as simple as that...we both HATED the weather in Pennsylvania. We didn't dislike it..we truly hated it. We have planned on relocating for about the past 10 years. We researched where to go...we started close to home, we thought South Carolina would be warm enough but nope! We seriously considered Florida...but in the end with some prompting by a friend and one Thanksgiving spent in Palm Springs...we started considering California. I had never wanted to live here, earthquakes, fires, mudslides...it's soooo expensive. But after much research and some really nasty disasters in our own area (including an earthquake, which we missed because we were on vacation) we started our home search in California.
And after 2 months, of the supposedly unpleasant part of the year, I can honestly say I am 100% sure we made the right decision. Granted we still don't have jobs but hey...life is never perfect!
So what should you expect if you decide to keep reading my blog?
You will more than likely find posts about things that befuddle me, irritate me, astound me or just some posts on my viewpoints on society, family, career choices, lifestyle choices. Expect my posts to contain expletives and to be very opinionated. If you are easily offended do yourself a favor and lose this web address. I do not walk on eggshells, I say what I think and it is highly unlikely you will change my opinion, but I am always open to differing viewpoints and consider them, when offered intelligently.
While some may consider me crass and obnoxious and offensive, I will not tolerate comments that are racist or bigotted, otherwise comment away! I consider everyone on this earth created equally, including and especially animals. You may find me bad mouth kids or old people but it is only in fun and not intended to be taken seriously. I am basically a decent person, I just love to be sarcastic, with children and the elderly reaping the benefits of my sarcastic ways.
Thanks for reading...I can't wait to get started!
And in case I haven't yet said it, I'm glad you moved here too...
